A broach

About

As inspirational as the Brontë story is, it’s a tale marked by tragedy. Patrick had the misfortune to outlive his wife and all of his children, including the famous Brontë sisters and their brother Branwell.

In this intimate Parsonage Unwrapped event, we invite you to the Museum library to explore death in the Victorian period. From mourning jewellery to funeral cards, we take a closer look at some of the Brontë funerary items in our collection.
